Like a lot of people, I was wowed by Apple’s introduction of the $599 MacBook Neo laptop last week. Essentially I use my current laptop for writing articles, researching, watching YouTube videos, and checking box scores.

Given that when running Windows in VM you must also be running macOS on the same device, the available memory, gets used up quickly. So, you really only want to use Windows on a MacBook Neo for light and transient tasks, such as running those legacy tools and utilities I mentioned.
Apple silicon VRAM limits can be raised with Terminal; 14336 MB on a 16 GB Mac is a common balance for stability.
