Recording this album with new and familiar friends was a joyful experience! I chose the title, The Secret of Life, because I thought James Taylor’s philosophical lyric was particularly inspiring. As the years go by, I’m learning that “the secret of life is enjoying the passage of time.” It’s a reminder that, despite the daily news which we can’t ignore, we still need to stop and smell the roses…and I love, love roses!
